The LMS Compassion Place 2023 Miracle of Christmas Project is underway, and we need your help to provide food, gifts, and the story of Christmas for over 150 families this year!
How You Can Help
Help provide food, gifts, and the story of Christmas for a family in need this year!
Sponsor a family (large or small) this Christmas by filling a gift basket and also a food basket, if possible. We will provide the boxes (courtesy of Iron Mountain) and all the support you’ll need. In addition, if you’d like to help pack boxes for non-sponsored families, join us at LMS Compassion Place headquarters in Brooklyn Park for:
Food Packing – Monday, Dec. 4th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Gift Packing – Monday, Dec. 11th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
In addition, we will still need donations of:
- 10-12 lb. Frozen Turkeys
- Frozen Whole Chickens
- Non-Perishable Food Items
- Financial Donations
Enjoy a family project by truly sharing Christmas!
Consider adopting one (or more) of our families and filling a box for them. Make it a family activity this year, or perhaps a service project for your group or congregation!

Have time to give?
Adult volunteers are needed for packing food and gifts for any families we have that are not “adopted” by individuals or groups. Both of these events are at LMS Compassion Place headquarters located at 601 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park, MD 21225.

No time to spare?
Financial donations are also needed to ensure all of our families are provided for this Christmas. If you would like to give a financial gift to help support the project, please click on the “Donate Now” button in the upper right-hand corner and designate “Miracle of Christmas.” (You may even make your gift In Honor or In Memory of someone special. An appropriate notification will be sent, and you will receive an immediate receipt for your gift by email.)
